Fellowship Opportunities

The Wednesday morning Bible Study meets every Wednesday morning at 10:30.

Thursday evening Bible Study second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Merry Widows--Meet once a month for fellowship and lunch, usually the third Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m.

The Moms Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month for dinner at an area restaurant at 6:30. This group is open to Moms whose children are newborn through college age. Contact Diana Hoemann for more information.

The Men's Club meets the second Tuesday evening of each month in the upstairs Conference Room at 7 p.m.

The Mary-Martha Guild meets the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

The Bethlehem Singles Group (ages 21 - 101) does activities throughout the year. Contact Markus for more information..

Opportunities to Serve

Orphan Grain Train will take place Saturday, September 11, 2010. Set aside some time to join the Mission Board for a few hours in Concordia. We will be sorting clothing and other humanitarian goods for distribution by the Orphan Grain Train. We will leave church about 9 a.m. and carpool. We will have lunch in Concordia and be home in time for Saturday evening worship. Mark your calendar and plan to join us. The event takes place at Focal Point, 108 NE Second St., in Concordia. Sign up for the event on the sheets provided in the north hallway of the church. Pick up a brochure to find out more about Orphan Grain Train.

Ushers and Acolytes are needed for 2010. Please sign up on the bulletin board next to the mail boxes.

Braille Workers -- First Tuesday afternoon of the month. For information, contact Barbara Compton.

Clothes Closet -- Throughout the year they are always in need of workers to sort and hang clothes on Mondays or Fridays (8-noon). The Clothes Closet is located in the Variety Mart Building on S. Highway 13 at the edge of town.

Prayer Shawl Ministry -- If you would like to help this new ministry by crocheting, knitting, quilting or sewing shawls please contact Cindy Conen.

Salvation Army -- Always needs help from 9-5 Monday through Friday. The store is located on the corner of Holden and Culton Streets.

Recycling -- Please continue to save or pick up aluminum cans and drop them in the barrels in the shed behind the church. If you do not know the combination, call the office at 747-6742. All proceeds will be donated to World Hunger Relief. If you have questions, contact Esther Keseman. Last year we donated $160.09 to World Relief from can recycling.

If you would like to place flowers on the Altar to celebrate, honor, or give thanks, contact Cindy Conen, Karen Haase, or Sharon Hochsprung.
