Our Pipe Organ
Bethlehem's organ is a sixteen rank instrument originally built around 1927 by the Hinners Organ Company for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Carrollton, MO. Bethlehem purchased the organ from Immanuel in 1977. Michael Quimby (Quimby Pipe Organ) took charge of the instruments move and installation at Bethlehem. The organ and the console are located in the rear gallery of the church.
Since the time of Martin Luther, the Lutheran Church has been known as "the singing church." Our worship and celebrations have been enriched by a priceless collection of liturgies, choral works, and hymns through which we express our faith. To learn more of the rich, musical heritage which epitomizes Lutheran worship, please visit Thrivent Financial's "500 Years of Lutheran Music website.
Our Adult Choir sings most Sundays throughout the school year. Music selected for performance in worship encompasses a wide variety of styles and periods from early Renaissance to new compositions. Our music is generally selected to be tied to the gospel theme of each week's service.
